The Japanese would suck in the multiplayer which the game is built for. Relic does, they want to keep historical details. Lol having different vehicle armor upgrade does not seem to like a different way to play wtf? Plus, who said u have to be exactly realistic while this is a unrealistic pc game from the start? So have them as a cheap and sneaky could be done. They had tanks late in the war that were like the sherman or cromwell. infantry appearing at a secret location on the map. They had lots of light AT guns and artillery.Ĭall ins would be naval artillery or air support. they had LMG's, smg's rifles, pistols, mortars heavy mgs etc.infantry wise not much different to any other army and could be quite competitive and cheap.Īnti tank is where they might lack.however they did develop a bazooka like weapon late war. so i would have them in the game as cheap but effective infantry. In real life.and in terms of infantry the japanese were right up there with the best the allies had, and generally outnumbered the USA troops. The way i see it japanese would be a strong cheap early game army growing weaker with the late game but with powerful air and artillery call ins, and the sneakiest army around with ambushes and traps etc. the japanese had some late war tanks that were close to what the allies were fielding. i mean the pershing wasnt exactly in mass production but it has been in the game etc. However that aside if they didnt do that.then you could add in those late game units the japanese had that were more or less equal to allied tanks. So it would just be a switch, not a big deal you choose the map then the army that goes with it, why wouldn't it work? cause people want the faction that owns the most at any given point in time? it would be better for the game i feel.then you could perhaps toggle such a setting with a switch.
